After having to shut down the line early last season because of bladder cancer, the past 8 months have been rough and a roller coaster. Had surgery X2 in March followed by radiation treatments. Then in April they found that it had spread to my right eye muscles, my 9th rib, my hip, and 2 of my lymp nodes. Went to the Mayo clinic in MN for a biopsy on the eye, they are the ones that found the cancer. Came home and did more radiation, this time on the eye and a lymp node.
Was feeling pretty defeated until they put my on this stuff called Keytunda, it is suppose to be a cancer killer. I won't find out what it is doing ie killing the cancer, stopping it from growing, or nothing until after my 4th round later this month. But...........My eye is opened up, I can see, and I have been getting out doing the things I love. At this rate I should be good for another season.
Did a bunch of moose hunting, not the way I prefer, sitting and waiting vs the stalk. Having only 1 eye kinda kicked me plus having to figure out how to shoot left handed. Saw a lot of sub legal bulls and only had one that I seriously questioned but didn't pull the trigger. It was awesome to be out there.
Spent the past few days out in the woods chasing beaver with Recondo. We hit a new area, not a bunch of sign like we normally see but we connected with a few. Always been a castor guy but tried something different this time. I used Bengay, along with spearmint mixed with glycerin. Worked pretty good and had quite the sweet smell.

We ended up with 13. Couldn't beat the sights and the good company around the camp fire though
