A job well done, thanks for posting.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Surprised the trigger sticks don't keep the plywood off of a mouse. Do they get kicked clear of the plywood when tripped?

Outback; my dad showed me that trigger about ‘61 but used it with a wooden box instead. About ‘71 I figured out if I did away with the diagonal and shortened the trigger on the outside of the vertical and hammered the vertical into the ground till the notch was a few inches above ground, I could tie a snare to the trigger then to a sapling I had removed the branches from. Bend the sapling over set the trigger in the notch form a loop under the trigger and catch whatever I chose to bait for. Coyotes bobcats coons and possum were the usual suspects. Looking back it was probably not regulation but a kid on his folks land in Texas in those days didn’t even think about it. A nontarget ,no serious injuries, and a stern chewing out by Mom put a stop to that “set”.
