Your line of reasoning is flawed anyway grackle, when something is at rock bottom the only way to go is up. You were blessed that the recession didn't send you to the unemployment line, like happened with many of us, and were able to invest money in a market that could go no where but up. Some folks had to use investment money to eat since they were no longer employed.

Less people working today than during the 2008 financial collapse. That has not changed much sense 2013 but you can keep believing those number's they put out.The stock market isn't the economy for most.
