That is the real benefit of wide ski skins on a big machine like a scandik, when the trail gets built up,you wont nose dive in the deep snow when you go off to one side or the other. You can travel at much higher speed on those trails because of it.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Are you guys using plastic skis? Mine are metal, but are awfully heavy. The problem I had with metal skis during certain weather conditions, warm snow would stick to them and build up and it would become a fight to even move. I think I put ski skins on my 80's Skandic
I love the smell of burning spruce---I love the sound of a spring time goose---I love the feel of 40 below---from my trapline I will never go!

Are you guys using plastic skis? Mine are metal, but are awfully heavy. Yeah everyone is running plastic skis these days. I don't think any sleds have been manufactured with metal skis since the late 90's? Little lighter than the metal skis, dont rust up and are fairly resistant to damage when bouncing off rocks, stumps etc.
