Using 3/4” pvc conduit and 3/8” smooth rod.
Drill a 3/8” hole in one end and attach a conibear bracket as shown.

[Linked Image]

Mount the conibear trap onto the bracket.

[Linked Image]

Then slide the 3/8” rod thru the hole. The trap can be slid up or down to the desired height.

[Linked Image]

Quick and easy.

The only down side Is the clip. Some traps just don't fit, They are either to loose or to tight. The adjustable clip Is yet to be made.

True. I can only use the 2nd notch but I'm working on making my own that will fit the other notches.

Good stuff man! Thanks for the ideas.

Keep your boots dry and your powder too.

I remember when a fur check was reality.....now I'm just trapping for the love of it.

Best Regards,

JT

we used the hagz clip last winter under the ice. they grab the stake well, and wont spin around the stake, or slip down. great product. once installed, theyll never come off the trap, and arent in the way if you decide to stake through the spring loops at a different set. no issues with the individual trap fitting the holder too tight or loose, as with the above pictured type mounts.
