How could I craft a tincture from deer meat?
Can I just submerge deer scraps in vodka?
I want to make a freeze proof liquid that smells like fresh deer meat
Any ideas welcome
Thx

i have not tried this.
why couldn't you dissolve some sodium benzoate in water. then mix the water 50/50 with glycerine. put it in a pressure cooker with a big chunk of bone in deer meat and pressure it for 20 minutes. use the broth.

Would it smell like fresh meat or cooked meat though?
I don’t know

cooked. but just like tainted meat, cooked meat is more appealing.

I had a similar question but using mice so to the top.

i think i will try the experiment i postulated above. im going to cut some hide meat and bone from a roadkill deer. put all in a pressure cooker with distilled water. add sb and mp after the water cools down. toss the solids. a good liquid bait would be a big plus in lots of places. especially for cats arounf packrats. packrats will drag off anything they can. a scent applied right into the dirt should stay there. i have fooled around with liquid bait before and my results were not great but i was not using a meat broth either
