Very awesome goal and post. I seen someone mention Robert sets approx. 160 traps. Does anyone know How many traps he sets at each stop, how many miles hes covering a day, and how far it is between each set up? Such as 3 traps at each stop, approx. 3 miles between stops, and covering a 100 mile loop for example. Incredible amount of work going into this!

Update as of today.

Robert made 33 sets yesterday well he said mudded In 33 sets. Everything was froze up this morning but he got 12 coyotes. Must have run early.
Peat moss Is his best friend. Said he was going to go back and do remakes and probably get In another 30 new sets today.
Looks like the weather Is going to warm up and the wind will dry things out.

Would be interesting to know how many traps he must have in general that are hanging up in his shed after the season

Well he told me he had some where around 600 traps just set up for coyotes. I never asked what brand of trap and what If any changes he makes to those traps. Next time I talk to him I'll ask.

Beav, tell Robert he should sell the traps he used for this Quest. Just box them up after finished trapping and ship them out. I'd take one for $34.99 delivered.

I think he uses a #3 or #4 Montgomery dogless or something similar. He's a machine!

He started In ND but with bad weather and standing crops he pulled out and headed for Nebraska. I don't know how long he spent In Nebraska but he's know In Kansas. And will trap there till the coyotes start to break down.
