Not sure about AK but its nuts here....people buying bottled water and T-paper faster than it can get here. Its nuts because we have more good water than we can use in hundreds of creeks and rivers all around us. Four and rice are gone too. This is the time of year we buy in bulk for our summer lodge season. Not happening now. They say Grande Prairie AB is worse. -30 with a wind there this morning and people were lined up for two miles outside the store waiting to get in. We havent had any cancelations for our summer season yet but Im sure we will. I feel sorry for the people in my business who owe money because they are going to go under. The cruise ship traffic in southeast AK feeds a lot of people....

Haven't noticed any food shortage in the Fred Meyer stores but Costco parking is full and folks lined up to check out. TP was out at Fred's. Heard lower 48 is having gas shortages. Maybe not true?

Haven't heard of any gas shortages, but went to the ITA fur sale this weekend and toilet paper is out about everywhere. Talked to my dad this morning and he said the stores were running low on flour and sugar also. Frustrating for people like myself who only go grocery shopping every couple months or less and normally stock up. We are getting due to go and are low on sugar, out of hot cereal and down to about eight rolls of tp. Then the panicking idiots who don't stock up and are now stripping the shelves so those of us who normally stock up so we don't have to go back to town, can't.

Shopped at Fairbanks Fred's this morning. It looked well stocked except for TP, pasta, rice, beans, and ground beef. Have plenty of ammo so I didn't stop by Frontier or Sportsman's. Will be passing through Kaktovik next week and will stop by store for a quick look. Last ammo shortage I found many 1000's of .22 on shelf at a north slope village store. They didn't realize there was a shortage in the rest of the country.

Just got in from hitting Walmart out here in Wasilla, those shelves are pretty dang bare, no TP, tissue, paper towels...... No flour, sugar or salt.......No hot dogs, bacon, or lunch meat..... Hardly any canned goods....Only 1 pallet of 50lb dog food. And the biggie, the freaking cold / flu section of medicine was completely bare. Plenty of munchies and soda pop though smile
Crazy! Glad all I need were some chainsaw blades!

We order a lot of dry goods from Target, Dollar General, and Amazon, to get free or low cost shipping, can hardly find basic dry goods to order right now.
