Long time lurker, finally taking the leap to post. A little less than a year ago I took the Wisconsin trappers ed course from Muskrat and he told the class about all the great info to be had on Trapperman and boy was he right!

This was my first season and other than trappers ed, youtube and Trapperman I didn't really have any trapping experience to draw from so it was a learning year. Next season maybe try more of a season long blog type post because it was great fun for me to follow along with you guys that actully know what you are doing. I'll post pictures of year one.

I trapped private land along the Little Platte in southwest Wisconsin. Good year for learning...saw one other trapper and every single person I asked for permission said go for it!

Just made it before the fur buyer quit. Kept the otter, few beaver, fox, skunk to get them tanned. Lucked out and found a guy to flesh them for me last week so they are ready to go to a tannery.
