~12.33". That's on an unset Bridger 280 that I just measured. Bridgers have the corners that go up & out. If you could find a 280 in which the farthest measurements are truly 8" square at the corners, then it'd work. I'd go with a 220, or look into getting a RBG as that may work.

RBG's are an 8 inch circle, and are very strong.

Ours says no bigger than 7 inch square and 8 inches round on dry land, so I was excited that the 280's would work here and got some this year for otter. They also killed 45 pound beaver with no problems on dam crossovers.
