Here's is a bottle with a story inside. I know how old it is since the creator signed and dated his work. A lady looked up on line the creator's name and found him on my genealogy page and then tracked me down. The creator was the husband of my 1st cousin, 5 generation removed. I believe her mother was intrigued with it and bought it at a yard sale or flea markets.

Drasselt Thanks for the info on the purple bottle. Here is a little tid bit on Hoppe's # 9 In 1903, Frank August Hoppe mixed nine chemicals and created the world's most effective gun cleaner. The brown bottle could be a hoppe's bottle from in the mid 1940's. There was a dump and plenty of glass there. A lot of it was covered in sand. There were 12 military there through the war. Picture of site 25 Feb 1946.
