The price on the Surge machine may seem a but steep but maybe not. We had an old one some years back. It worked way faster then I could milk by hand. Cows liked in better the hands also. We were milking a Jersey and a first calf Holstein. Average for the two on there good days was well over 13 gallons. Clean up on the can was only a few minutes. I would buy another if I had milk cows again. I would be more then paid back by the smiles from my wife for less work for her. Ted

Ted I kinda figure if we had a milker my wife would want to keep a fresh milk cow all the time . My days of milking anything that takes more than fifteen minutes is done and im not going to ask her to do anything im not willing to do

Wow you live in the wrong place. Our dairy bull and heifer calves are going for $50 each some lower some higher.
Bryce I dosnt make much sense to me why a black bull calf will bring $350 when you can buy a fat open cow thats ready to butcher now for $400

My brother bought a Turkish milker with 2 claws for $1400 including shipping but the claws made the cows teat sore. We have a Dairy Master parlor set up with Boumatic claws. I know we got it backwards but we are hoping to ship milk in about 2 weeks.Swing 12 I think. I would buy a goat with big udder and years for home use. Just my 2 cents.
