If farmers don't feed the world......who does? Unless a farmer is giving me my food for free, I'm feeding myself.

Agent Orange is also Round Up ,in a less concentrated form. How I know it is from a Vietnam Vet I had work with in the past told me about what it dose and how it was used . Also what trapgog1 stated is so true and also they have not seen the fat on the deer also. Round up is not 245-t, not even close.

Blaming chemical manufacturers is as silly as blaming tobacco companies when people get sick from tobacco use, and blaming alcohol producers for alcoholism and drunk driving killing people. Money talks. But we'd better take Elmer Fudds' gun out of the cartoons. That's harmful.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Talking about this brings back memories. We used to put the base chemicals of cosmetics beneath the eyelids of rabbits because rabbits don’t cry. The Food Drug and Cosmetic Act requires cosmetics not affect human users if it gets into user eyes. Rabbit eye structures are apparently close to human eye structures so Charles River Whites were used. Our lab had over 400 adult rabbits at all times. We also had thousands of mice. A technician would shave the backs and apply 1 of 5 different concentrations of the test product to the skin. After a couple weeks, she’d measure the tumors. We also raised dogs for other labs. As I recall, we had 2100 purebred beagles most of which were shipped off to other testing sites.
I did a little bit of everything, including catching “clean” cups of manure and urine coming out of cows. And autopsies of chickens and mice, candling thousands of eggs, painting mice, running a manure spreader, bleeding hogs and helping muscle biopsy unhappy cows. You had to be fast because they kick hard!!

Exposures over time, concentration of use, age of person applying the product, etc. all have to be taken into consideration. You applying while wearing boots, pants and long sleeves is different from your grandson Hoeing weeds there a day later when he’s wearing flip-flops, shorts, and a t-shirt. Endocrine disrupters are harder on kids than they are on us older folks.

Also what trapgog1 stated is so true and also they have not seen the fat on the deer also. Not true. They are two chemically different compounds and function completely differently on plants. Glyphosate is C3H8NO5P Agent Orange is C24H27CL5O6 Agent orange disrupts the production of a hormone that controls cell division inside the plant. Roundup interferes with enzyme production that promotes growth.Roundup Ready plants are engineered to produce MORE of this enzyme and consequently, not affected by the herbicide. Dow Chemical was the main producer of Agent Orange so don't forget to badmouth them with misinformation also.

Say what you will but DDT was sure good for my quail populations DDT was effective at controling mosquito born desease. It should have been brought back when zika hit. As with all other chemicals, misuse is/was the real issue.

This is the only link of yours that I read. It contains factual errors that are...IMO....intended to mislead the reader. Example: "Agent Orange (named for the orange stripes that were painted on the barrels) was the strongest and most commonly used herbicide employed to destroy food crops and decimate forest cover. 13 million gallons of 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin, commonly called TCDD – a type of dioxin – was dumped onto Vietnam. The problem with dioxins is that they can last for years in the environment and have been known to cause cancer and birth defects." That is NOT a true statement. About 13 million gallons of Agent Orange were used in VN but there were only trace amounts of dioxin contained in that 13 million gallons. Granted, the dioxin was sufficient to cause health problems....probably...but that doesn't excuse the author's shoddy...intentional ? ....scholarship Also that author claims it was used on food crops. In VN that would be rice. The problem is that the chemical action of agent orange does not affect plants with a single cotyledon like rice and barley.
