I love catching crappie!! The crappie pond I used to fish in was a pond just out in the middle of a field the lady who owned it sold it and the buyer turned that hay field in to corn fields When he did he sprayed round up and 2-4D and killed off the grass and it blew in the pond and killed most of the fish. Including catfish some monster bass I’m talking 5-6# and all the crappie! I used to go catch 4-6 crappie just for fun! But yes I love crappie fishing
If the Fishkill happened in the summer it probably was an oxygen turnover in the pond. I use a mix of Roundup and 2 4 D to kill weeds in my pond. It was recommended by the extension service. The only Fishkill I’ve had is pond turnover in the summertime during a drought period. That has happened twice for me in the last 20 years. It affects the larger fish more than the smaller fish.It probably just happened the same time the farmer sprayed his field. Or a month or two after.

True bogmaster! The fish o think is most fun is shell crackers (red ear sunfish) they hit like a freight train and put up a good fight even though every one I’ve caught is under 1#!

I made a homemade pencil float form a straw like in Catfish and Carp's video and its one of the best gear switches i've made. Its easy to make, dirt cheap and effective. It can detect the slightest tap on your bait and ever since i've used it in my pond I have got zero gut hooks at all, not even deep-hooked. I get them in the lip or upper jaw almost every time and you can adjust the straw to your needs by going up or down a size and stuff like that. Its great for big and small panfish. I also use a light-weight fly rod with a normal reel on it sometimes and its fire when it comes to detecting bites. Mix the fly rod with the straw float and you got an awesome combination that you can't beat. You just got to get creative, also I like to use cheese or hotdogs to catch panfish.
went out and caught a few fish the cats are getting bigger hopefully next time we go out we catch some keepers.anyone fishing?if so what are you catching.
I’ve been making some home made top water lures! They have been working very well. I have some for sale on trap shed if you would like to check it out! Here are some I’ve caught off them.
