I recently bought 12 used traps and the levers appear to be bent. The traps will not allow me to set the dog over the jaws and on to the pan notch. I am thinking complete dissassembly .
Any thoughts ?

Yup, what he said. All you gotta do is twist em like this

First take off the spring. Just easier this way imo

Then twist lever straight

The seller might twisted levers to get the jaws to lay down flat.
It 's my hunch the free jaw will come up after you straighten the levers.

Strong two coiled trap levers naturally twist over time.

I bought some traps like that one time. It turned out the #2 traps had #3 springs on them.

Like red said, some guys twist the bridger a a bit to make them lay flat. The loose jaw sticks up a bit from factory
