Ok, what are (in your opinions) the best bucket list trapping destinations? I’m looking for state, and what you recommend trapping for. Ex. Muskrats in Minnesota or bobcats in Texas. I heard a podcast tonight where somewhere they were catching crazy numbers of muskrats in a two week period. I would love to hear from some of you all. Thanks

Unfortunately--Mn. does not allow non-resident trappers. Also our Muskrat populations have been declining for years.

If they ever have a wolf season I'm going to the UP. Or Idaho perhaps.

I think catching wolves in the lower 48 would be a trip that would be hard to top.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Very cool recommendations. Other than Alaska (which would take a week of driving alone from here), I would like to trap a bear in a foot snare in Maine. I think just bc it would be a thrill to walk up to one, and I’m afraid that it wont be around much longer. Heck I would be fine just to dart it, take some pictures and leave it there for someone else.

For me it's just head north to my property in the u.p. and catch anything! I don't own a large piece, just 11 acres, but I hope to catch something from it.

Idaho wolf trapping. Wolves and marten are the two that I haven’t caught that are on my list. I keep telling my wife if I ever catch a wolf I’m having a cape made with the front legs being the clasp, head as the hood, and I’m gonna wear it EVERYWHERE lol

I’ve trapped 11 states and can say that each have been their own unique gems. No matter where you decide to go you’ll have a blast.
