I’ve checked out savage and they have nice rifles yup. I plan to put a leupold vx1 that I don’t use anymore and a bipod.

Have you looked at howa 1500s? I really like them. I think I heard mossbergs are made with a howa 1500 action, is that true?

I looked at the ruger American all weather. I was hoping to spend about $5-700 but with that in mind I can get her a Tikka light for about $900. Puts a dent in my wallet but she’s worth every penny. Well on her way to great things.

I’ve got some serious thinking to do but keep the suggestions coming. It’s helpful

I’ve been looking at a high end 7mm or 300 for myself but that can wait. She needs her own rifle first.

i have 3
2 new ones
the patriot predator in 308
and the MVP varmint in 308 , this feeds form AR-10 mags or M14 mags I use magpul 10 round Pmags
the mvp is nice but heavy mine is 11-12 pounds more of a range toy for me than a carry it all day hunting rifle
my son shot his deer with the Patriot predator which with muzzle brake and vortex 2-7x32 ready to hunt is 8 pounds 2 ounces
I don't think you can get a better rifle for the money than the Patriot predator the stock is a little cheap feeling but it shoots well , the only part that Mossberg won't sell you is the firing pin assembly and bolt body at least online I may call them and see if i can get a spare spring and firing pin not because I think they will break but with a spadre mag and 15 dollars in parts I can't see a good reason it couldn't last long enough that it might need a firing pin or spring. the bolt design is very simple yet effective and easy to clean out if you should say take a spill in the water
bolt handle ont he predator is bigger and easy to run
adjustable trigger 2 to 7 pounds I have mine around 2.5 I would guess don't need much lighter on a hunting rifle
22 inch fluted barrel threaded muzzle , if your looking for light recoil the AR stoner 30 cal muzzle break leaves you watching the animal fall in the scope nice so that your not off target during the recoil
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
