I like quail. They scare the scrap out of me though they also taste good turkey are smart

I know you won't have any if you don't trap them and kill them. just tossed in a brush pile let the buzzards take care of them

Will a 2 Bridger work for beaver?

Uh I wouldn't think so. MAYBE if it was 4 coiled? I don't trap beaver so idk. I know I have heard of using at least number 4s and 5s

I'm not a beaver trapper either, but most guys I hear won't use a trap even as small as a #3.

Get some #5's if they are legal for water.

you'll most likely need a setter also.

No but I caught one that had yo weigh 20 lbs I promise you on all my traps!

For those thinking of trapping beaver---I started with #3 coils.They were fine for front foot catches,but lack the jawspread needed for consistant hind foot catches.
My trap of choice now,is the 330.

One point to always remember---always stake for the largest animal in your area.
Even my muskrat sets are staked well---over the years I have held over 100 beaver in my #1 stop loss traps set for muskrats. The small trap is in no way --a trap that should be used for beaver---but by staking well,you will hold some those larger animals that check out your muskrat sets.
Largest beaver held in a rat set was,56 pounds.Largest coon held in a rat set--38 pounds.
Stake well.

Well my first sets go out today I have an apprentice AKA a pack mule this year! Im only joking my neighbor and friend wants to learn to trap. I thing he signed up for Trapperman last night

Super cool! I also have a pack Mul- I mean, a friend who want to learn how to trap lol. I went hunting this morning but didn’t see anything. I plan on setting a few traps today And I will plan on setting more after deer season
