Do you guys notice any movement after a big rain? Or do they shy away until it starts to clear up? In the southeast we have PLENTY of coons, but with that also comes tons of rain. Just want your thoughts!

Here they move really well on nights with a light rain or drizzle. Heavy rain not so much.

Last night it was mild and foggy. Fog or light mist on a mild night like this in our neck of the country = lots of coons next morning trap check.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Warmer than normal temps or storm fronts will get them moving. For expected heavy rain keep your lures covered with leaves or piece of bark

My best catch days are usually the second nite before a front comes thru. Example if a weather front is coming thru Sunday, Friday nite coons move a lot. 50 years chasing those critters.

Most of Newtoga’s years were in Ohio. Very similar to PA. Maybe it’s time for a name change? Newtotex?
