When do y'all start seeing fur rubbed? Start hanging up your footholds for the year? Will you go late into January or even February for coyotes? This is only my 2nd year. My first year the snow was to much to contend with by mid December so I pulled up stakes. Just curious as I'm just not sure. Here's a few good days from this season so far. [Linked Image]

I stop when the season ends.
I just want to kill every yote walking.
I truly hate them. I truly do

It's usually a roll of the dice here. Usually don't try to set for coyotes after new years but occasionally I'll set for farmer friends, or paying farmers...

Awesome OregonBeaver ! I trap them till season ends. The more coyotes the less fox it seems. Would rather have the fox. Here in PA we can HUNT coyotes year round. I gladly do that too

TILL THAT DAY.....

Great pics. I try and start when they are prime and stop when they break. I have a few places that I trap after they are no good to help the deer population

I don't hate coyotes, just the opposite. The enjoyment I get of trapping them makes me glad the good Lord put them here. Now as far as mosquitoes go, I'm still trying to figure out his plan for putting them here.

In MN they are unprotected. We can trap, snare and shoot them all year.

Depends on the weather up here snow crusted or staying fluffy January 15th you start seeing some breaking but I’ve seen February coyotes being good but I don’t like the %’s of good coyotes after the 15th and I’ve seen some be broke and rubbed out in December but not often

Seems I end up throwing coyotes away in December just as much as February. So I'll snare till the middle of February. Sure there are some rubbed out coyotes, but an ugly coyote is an ugly coyote, whether it is Nov or Feb.

Damage varies year to year depending on multiple factors.

I’ve seen a large percentage of damage as early as December 10th.

I’ve seen a good percentage of good coyotes into late January.

When profit killing damage starts to show on about 25% of the animals it’s time to start shutting her down. If profit is the goal that is.

Market levels are another factor of deciding when to hold em or fold em. Last year, slights were still good money. This year, not so much.
