So I took three of my kids to set a Beaver swamp by our house. I have never caught one before. I put a picture of one of my conibear sets. Does it look like it in the right spot? It on a slide down from the dam were they going into the water by a culvert that's blocked up by the dam. Not sure how to turn pics?

You will catch beaver otter and rats in that set.

It gives you the option to rotate your pictures as you upload them. When you upload a picture it asks you to "choose" a file and then "add". Once you add the pic you can preview it before you hit the "done" button. It gives you the option to rotate the picture before you hit "done". Go give it a try, you can always delete it.

You might have to zoom out after downloading your pictures to see the rotation option. Most of us miss that part before we hit the done button.

I was taught to lay a small limb or vines or local debris across the top to break up its outline, but basically looks good, as long as whoever moved into your hood has not been pinched somewhere else and is square shy.

The top pic has cross sticks thru the upper jaw corners to stabilize and the lower set uses Sullivan Stabilizer.
I gota ask.
What is stabilizing your trap?

What is stabilizing your trap?

The wood stakes that are shoved between the springs. And it's on the ground.

Still no catch. Found where they are feeding. Should I move traps closer?

I have always set in areas where beaver are most active. If you found a place where there are very fresh cuttings and chewing there will most likely be some fresh trails where they are coming out of the water to cut. Good spots for a 330 or two.

Keep at it! You will score one of these days and then you are hooked.
