Had a guy send me 2 of these 114s...flat pan..
One has rust pretty bad, weak springs I can set by hand.
Pan unreadable, jaws and posts good, original chain
I thought it was worth about $80
This one is the left one in picture

Other 114, has barely readable pan ,brass post bolts, not original chain but has one good strong spring, other is weak.
I thought 60 was fair
This one is right one in picture...far right spring looks to be new.

Am I close? Out of line?

Thanks

I would guess if you are happy with what you paid that is all that matters definitely not much collector value in either imo..

Assuming they haven't been in a fire (weak springs?).. I think you did alright as far as parts value.....
Just my opinion as I sure do accumulate a lot of junk. wink

Stronger springs can be found if you are looking to use them...

Yeah, I may pit new springs on em. I know the trapmaster who sells the springs.
Part of me wants to catch a wolf in a 114 for nostalgia sake.

There are lower cost options for springs. I have seen good 4 1/2, 114 ATC springs at trapper conventions in the 20 to 30$ each range. I think the Bridger #5 springs would also work if you just wanted to make them usable...
