You guys are making me hungry. What kind of cat meat should I try. That bobcat carcass when cooked will probably get me in hot water with the local food police. I ate fox two times in my life and although it was palatable, I wouldn't recommend it.

Rome, NY Police received a complaint that a man was grilling a canine. The guy said it was a coyote. The carcass has been sent to Cornell U for test to determine species. If it is a domestic dog the guy faces serious charges. Don’t have the link, but search WKTV Utica, NY grilling canine. I have to ask. Don’t the local authorities have real criminals to go after instead of messing with this case? You know, like people who are a danger to their community or citizens?

We had a Vietnamese kid at the youth academy he would smile rub his belly and say black lab. Some years ago, in a conversation with a local CO, he had arrested some Vietnamese who had been doing a lot of shooting in a woods. A local resident by the woods had called him. The CO checked and found they had a burlap sack with various song birds inside that they had shot. They claimed they used them to make a soup.

When MN had a wolf season one year, I got a taste of barbecued timber wolf. I don't recommend it. I would guess coyote would taste similar. There is more tasty wild meat out there than these, IMO.

De-boned , well trimmed and cut to small pieces in a curry or spiced Asian dish most anything is palatable.
my wife doesn't like mutton but I think it is good. I am not going to pay extra but I will take all the free mutton being offered.
the first time my wife didn't know it was mutton she just knew it wasn't beef and she is good at adding up not beef with what I had brought home recently.

Ever since the Democratic controlled Senate & Assembly eliminated bail, almost all criminals are released immediately. Cops don't arrest anyone not charged with violent felonies any more. It's a free for all here in New York State now. w

so if the penalty is a fine your getting hit for it but if an arrest and free bail are the need then why bother and just go bug some guy cooking dinner?

I've eaten dog It's OK. You could pick out a live one and have It butchered or pick one that was already butchered. I did neither but sat down with Mama San and partook.

My own BIL, while a POW during WW2, helped eat the camp Commandant's dog. They were nearly starved to death by being feed rutabagas and sawdust filled bread for months. Til the day he died he said that cooked dog was one of the best meals he ever ate. Miraculously, along with another GI, he escaped and, with help from the Russians, made it back to the American lines.
