Most of us beaver trappers don't use offset jawed traps for beaver. And you don't need offsets for coyotes.

Just think about having to bury that nice big #5 on dryland for coyote though. I'd just buy a few #5s for beaver and a few #2s for coyote and you'll be happier that way. Plus less weight and stuff in your buckets for dryland trapping. But to answer your question I've held beaver fine in my mb750 and Bridger offsets.

The "offset" pushcotrapper is showing wont be a big deal for beaver. The foot will hold the jaw open farther than that. Arkansas requires offset also, basically any kind of gap in the jaw(even 1/16") is "offset"

The foot will, but I have caught beaver by only a couple of toes that would have been gone if my trap was offset. Regular jaw MB 750 will hold a 50 lb beaver by two toes. I have seen it more than a couple of times.

+1 on what Blaine County said.
In reference to the OP and for what it's worth; Last year I was asked to get some beaver out of a pond that were doing quite a bit of damage I had never trapped beaver so I bought a couple of Bridger #5 OS and pulled two springs. I made two castor mounds, set for what I hoped would be a hind foot catch and had two beaver in four days. I figure I was pretty lucky though
#5 Bridgers seem big for coyotes to me. if I were going for a front foot catch on beaver and use the same trap for coyotes I would look at the #3 dogless Bridges.
