I agree, Grammy's are a very important figure in your life while growing up. I'll start.....my Grammy was a heck of a lady, and quite the outdoors person. She lived in northern NJ, raised bird dogs and hunted partridges' on a regular basis. This would have been in the 40-50's. I also remember she had a collection of double barrel shotguns she treasured. Let's hear about your Grammy's now.

Ok 👌 will give it a go
Mine was born in 1881 in Carson city Nevada, made several gold rushes including the Klondike, hunted deer and small game with her rifle that was made in the 1700s with black powder she made herself and balls cast by her
I don’t remember a single time I ever seen her where she didn't have on a long dress down to her ankles and a corset on, which made quite a sight when she was hunting, her in her long dress carrying a rifle almost as long as she was tall, nor can I ever remember her ever missing something she shot at
A tough no nonsense lady who didn’t put up with (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) from anyone
Lots of family stories about her
Even after 50 years I still miss her sitting there and hearing her stories

Here's my dad's mom, from some time in the early 60's. She went deer hunting every year with the men of the family. When dad got old enough to hunt, grandma pretty much became the cook. Grandpa built her rifle, a sporterized 1943 mauser, chambered in 30-06.
