MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Health officials report dozens of fully-vaccinated people have contracted COVID-19 in Minnesota, a development that wasn’t unexpected.
The state has identified 89 coronavirus infections in people who have received two doses of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

State infectious disease director Kris Ehresmann said the fraction of fully vaccinated people who still contract infections was expected.

Clinical trials suggested the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are 95% effective.

Johnson and Johnson’s vaccine is said to be about 66% effective.

Doctors say even those who required hospitalization after being vaccinated had milder symptoms.

These drugs do not prevent anyone from contracting COVID-19. It does greatly reduce the chance of the virus killing you.

If it was a contraceptive. after the injection you could still get pregnant ,still get aids and, still need to use a condom.

Don’t trust all the negative data you read. A few days ago some Prairie News publications said 570 people in Oregon died from the vaccine. It was false. Some negative people would prefer the entire vaccine program to fail. Problem is, it is not failing and by years end the only Covid cases and deaths might be among the unvaccinated population. Once they pay the price, we will have the herd immunity the vaccine should deliver.

When some people have no symptoms and others die, how can they say it reduces symptoms? they don't have a clue what your symptoms would have been if you were not vaccinated. So we have a survival rate of 99.7 with out the vaccine, what does it do go up to 99.8?

...this is never gonna end, unless someone has the balls to put a stop to it!

If I remember right did a pharmacist not ruin some batches of the vaccines in that area of the Country? Again it is only going to reduce the severe impact of the cases and keep you out of the hospital it was never sold as a cure.

I wonder if any was given out or they caught it before then? Either way it was never a cure but these guys cannot accept that.

We'll see again in the fall. It will be interesting to see how many of you vaccianted people get sick again, how many die. Those numbers will probably be buried as I'm sure the rules will be changed on how "covid deaths" are counted.

I've tracked South Dakota covid metrics for 48 weeks in the row so far and the wane of the virus started before hardly any people were vaccinated. We're one of the leading states for the percent of population vaccinated and the real changes I've seen in the metrics is the number of people hospitalized and the number of deaths, we've had two weeks of 8 deaths in 2 out of the last 3 weeks. The "rate of infection" (total number of positives/total number of people tested) hasn't hardly moved at all. Good for the vax if its brought down the number of deaths and hospitalization but we really don't know do we, may be the natural wane of the virus for several reasons. Basically, South Dakota has a chronic but sustained rate of infection, pretty similar to last summer but much better than the debacle of the mid-Sept through mid-Dec. Pretty much the pattern of almost all states, the only difference has been then that big run-up-to-peak has occurred. So, has all the covid "mitigation" actually changed the course of the infection in most states...? We really don't know, doesn't really appear to have made much difference except some more remote places.

We'll see what happens 6-9 months from now. Get ready for your "booster" covid shots...

A flu shot is yearly,so I kind of expect the same thing with the covid one.

Wife got her second one she was feeling the symptoms of it headache, weak and chills the first night up and moving today. The only issue I had with the JJ shot was a sore arm for a week.

Wife got her second Moderna this afternoon. They told her if she has any reaction,it will be tomorrow or the next day.
I traveled to wisconsin for my first moderna,a little sore at the shot site but nothing more. Get my second one next friday.

Vaccine or not first thing most people forget who is in charge and the guy in the mirror is not him.
The shot is neither your savoir or your enemy take it or not hope it works or helps

Why is it still being called a vaccine? It certainly doesn't keep you from catching it.
