Anyone have experience with different brands of electric fillet knives? Do you prefer one over another?

Why electric? I've never seem one used. Am I missing out on something? I don't see any advantage to an electric fillet knife easier. As long as your regular fillet knife is sharp enough, I don't see how an oscillating knife can work better. What advantage is their to an electric fillet knife? Keith

I mostly use a corded American Angler and I'm definitely faster using it versus my regular fillet knives. My buddy likes to use a cordless Bubba Blade and he cleans way more fish than I do.
My dad used to use a beaver skinner blade to clean fish.

American angler. I only use it for sunfish. Fishing on lake Erie 6 days a week iin the summer I see 90 percent of guys using electric knives at the local launch/fish cleaning station. My buddy runs it so I go see him later in the day and once electric knives became popular they had to redo the outlets at the fish cleaning station to accommodate

Maybe electric knives work better on spiny-rays and rough fish, but I've never seen anyone use them on either salmon or halibut, and I know guys who do thousands of pounds of those fish per month. They do keep them very sharp though.

The professional striper guides at lake Texoma all run American Angler electric knives and they get run through tons of big striper every day. I bought one like thiers because I was wearing out the mister twister and Rapala knives at least one a year. I've had my American Angler for 3 years now and still going strong. American Angler all the way.I have fried several of the other brands.
