Wife and I just got back from our polling place. I skipped most of the candiates, most for minor positions were write-ins anyways.
PA is voting on four important ballot measures.
The first two are proposed amendments to the State Constitution to limit the Governor's power after he used it like a dictator during the Covid scam.
The third prohibits denial or abridgement of rights on account of an individual's race or ethnicity. (already illegal).
The fourth expands the state's loan program to volunteer fire companies to municipal fire companies and EMS service nonprofits Potential measures.
The first two are extremely important. Get out and vote appropriately.
Eh...wot?

YES on the Amendments, NO on expanding borrowing. (If the cities need to upgrade their Fire Equipment, they need to cut their bloated budgets elsewhere!) Exactly!

I hope our gives them what for. How's the turn out for our side? I'm hoping folks are still POed and will to vote come (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) or high water. A worker at my voting place told us it was a large turnout for a primary. My wife told her she wasn't surprised after the way the last election went. The poll worker agreed.
Eh...wot?

I voted was on the news that Republican ballots wouldn't register in the machines in my county.

Lugnut can you post the final results when they are final. Interested to see outcomes. Thanks I will. I checked a few reports from across the state this morning and am reading that about 55% percent of voters want to remove some of the governor's power. But those are not final tallies.
Eh...wot?

I voted was on the news that Republican ballots wouldn't register in the machines in my county. I heard that too. They were talking that it wouldn't register on the electrical part, but they were putting marks on the ballot in the machine so they could be counted afterwards. The little lady at my polling place said they were pulling each ballot out after you voted to make sure it had mark. She said they had no problems in Elk county as of 10 a.m.
