I'm doing a beaver job but having trouble keeping snapping turtles out of my BG's and snares. These beavers have been well educated and normally would touch a job like this but these too much for me to gain by helping this farmer out. Any suggestions?

This time of year you have to avoid travel way/funnel type sets with bgs and snares.

Unless the beaver refuses to even touch land, you can catch it with a foothold.

For snares, if you can find some weedy channels with at least two feet deep you can run half to barely submerged snares , that would keep the turtles out. Heavy load on a big loop to keep the lock well out of the beavers eyeline

I just set three 330s for each beaver I want to catch. Two of them catch turtles and the other one catches the beaver. Its a numbers game for me.

That's exactly what I've done only things don't always go the way you said they should. Caught a fish in one. Snapping turtle ate the fish and set off the second one causing the beaver to plug up the whole works. Pulled up everything and started over. Set up in some potential waterways after opening up the dam.

I have the equipment but low water makes it difficult to set heavy. Would rather have a few quality sets than dozens of mediocre but understand what your saying.

Set a beaver torpedo or other floating snare set.

Could also make a beaver snare KP set or other pole type snare set.

Just a few thoughts

Turtles have been knocking down my snares. Pulled everything for now and will give it a rest for now.

Don't you really mean : a 'lured' set using a foothold ???
A well blended blind set is one they don't get educated but one time !
