The other thing I REALLY loved was the biscuits - chicken on a biscuits, sausage on a biscuit etc.......all over down south and very good. I am pretty sure many were home made. Boiled peanuts - that was disgusting but I tried it. I do have one issue though - I stopped up in northern MS about 10 miles in and went to a Popeyes - they were out of chicken - I was like - are you serious.......we had to cross the road to get chicken.... Shrimp off the boat in Bayou La Batre in Alabama - very fine eating and prices as well.
