Clean empty acetone cans or clean empty paint cans. It is difficult to recover the paint that settles in the acetone cans if you are storing it for more than a few weeks.

I only paint conis. I put them in a plastic tote, toss in a 1/2 to 3/4 gal of 50/50 acetone/paint and slosh around till covered. I store my left over mix back in the paint can and a couple mason jars

You can paint them high viz yellow if you like as they will be covered when set. Some do pait them bright colors so they can see at a distance whether or not they are sprung or dug up.

Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.
