He was a 'bounty trapper' back in the day and in competition with another trapper took 1,013 red foxes in a 3 month period, while his competitor took 1,017. I know most of John's top secrets, even his bait and lure formulas. John, and I say this respectfully, confided in me that he suffered from mental illness in his later years. Heck, even Craig O'Gorman took instructions from him. Still a man I admire to this day.
