These are from the early 70s before the jump to Montana. these are at least 5 years before the TRAPPER came out.

The Midwest Trapper was out in 1975 which was Spearman's precursor to The Trapper. Joe Jack, Don Miller, Bob Church, and L. Craig O'Gorman all wrote articles for it. Ivan White even wrote one. Terry Schiedeman was the editor. Joe, Don, Craig and Terry are all still alive and Joe gets to trap (and keep) an otter this year. Hats off to these fellows who set some ground work for a much sought out publication.................... the mike

Ran into the guy several years ago, Mike from Superior NE print shop, who used to print t a lot of stuff out of his shop too for NFH and the mag.
He was umping a legion baseball game my son was playing in.

Maybe it was Mike Anderson, as he was active back then too. Lots of young, enthusiastic fellows that were trying to learn by doing, watching, reading and dreaming. The "Tube" has made us all impatient to acquire that knowledge................ the mike
