LOL, I remember this story. They are thick around here... most people fish the lake and don't realize just how many of them are in the river. Send me a PM when you are headed down and maybe we can grab a beer and I can show you some spots on the map.
There are a couple of custom lure makers here that you may wish to visit. It has suddenly become very trendy to jig for musky here (not sure it's popular elsewhere)
Just happy to be here.

We didn't keep any while fishing Canada, but the ones in the river I live on are Tiger muskies which are hybrids so we kept a few. To keep here they must be over 54", as we classify as a trophy fishery. Some lakes are 48. I can do without ever eating musky. Too many pike, bass, walleye and laker around for that.

Thanks. My wife keeps asking when I'll fish for fish we can eat again...lol. It's addictive. Had dozens and dozens of hooked and lost, almost hooked, or close calls. Walleye time soon. Fish you can eat again??? Don’t you know how to fillet boneless musky? Absolutely terrific tasting fish, I’d eat over nearly any other and often do. Osky
