Just curious about how much money potential there is there. I know it depends on how many views you get.

I was wondering how much money was made off of me doing a beaver skinning demo some years back. I gave permission to a gal (she used to be on here) to film me and put it out there.

Checkout the slot machine videos they get a ton of viewers, they also get paid by their subscribers donations from what I gather.

I THINK just last week a guy here said 1/3rd cent per view

He said 50,000 views would get about 150 bucks.

yeah its somewhere around 2k dollars per million views. that doesnt count any sponsored video money demolition ranch for instance has sponsors for videos because he reachs millions of people with each video. some of these sponsors pay thousands of dollars for a 1minute ad. its crazy if you can get people to follow you and watch what you are doing you can honestly make millions off youtube. its insane we joke in our house that we could have a video everyday with the shenanigans that happens with 6 kids 5 goats 15 ducks 80 chickens 2 snakes 2 dogs and living in the middle of nowhere. just we are so busy there isnt time to record and edit and what not.

Bear in mind, Google has gotten a lot cheaper over the years.

I'm not interested in trying to do any. Was just curious how much money had been made off of my beaver demo. I think i noticed at one point that there had been about 60,000 views.

I just now was looking to see since I haven't tried to look for it for several years...but it looks like the video was taken down? It used to be the first one that popped up if you googled "clean skinning beaver".

I know of a person that makes 6 figures a year!

Invite a hollywood celebrity out to your trapline for a week,put him to work cutting/splitting wood,chopping carcasses for bait,clearing/breaking trail,hauling water/chiseling ice and film them doing it and you'll make a fortune.

There is different criteria for how much money for videos. Go on YouTube and search a video that explains the system. It's all right there and easier to get an answer than asking here.

All of my skinning videos have been demonetized. Apparently YouTube deems fur handling as inappropriate for advertising.
Also, you can't earn a penny if you have less than 1000 subscribers. Takes a lot of time and dedication to make any money on YouTube. It's possible, though. I make about a hundred bucks a month. Pays the internet bill.

In order for a channel to be able to apply for monitization you have to have 1000 subscribers and 4000 view hours over a 12 month period. Once you get that and have done a few more simple things you can apply to turn on monitization. Then it is up to YouTube to allow it or not. Even with it on every video you upload may not be monitized. A ton of work involved to make any amount of money at it, just like any other content platform on the web.
