Anyone use it?

Nope never tired it. When it comes to lures I have always had the thought of "nothing ventured, nothing gained". I have tried lures that had rave reviews and nothing..... tried others that I thought might work, a few panned out a few did not. I honestly believe the critters react differently to different smells in different locations. Give it a shot and hopefully it will produce for you!

Much like HFT said, the same lure will not cause the same reaction each and every time. Location and where you are at in the season are my biggest variables.

I have had pretty good success with Pauls Tri Nitro, GL40, and Hawbackers lures. I picked up a bunch of Lenon lures from Ted's Fur Shed and am going to give those a go this year. Of course that is all for the K9's and I assume that is what your targeting.

Yep. Try something new for wolves. They know all about Gusto, and take great pains to go around my cubbies and boxes where I use it.
Hoping to throw something subtle at them.

I use p double e more than lure anymore. Mega Musk and Tri Nitro have been the most consistent lures, for me. But, Mega Musk in November/December isn’t like Mega Musk in February, in my experience.

I sell a wolf lure from lenon lures a some of the wolf trappers around here really like it.

What lure type gets the most attention from wolves? Curiosity, gland, call, or urine? Not asking for a friend LOL... HFT an Mad Mike are spot on, its the way it is with all canines. Use the attractor that matches the location.

it is a good idea to experiment with a diff lure every year. give it a try

Several Years ago I bought a predator lure from a now defunct company it was an egg based lure I had three fox traps blown apart by wolves that year I know that may or may not help if you can look at some descriptions and find an egg based lure as something different for the wolves

Keep your fresh mink and weasel glands.Fill a jar half with mineral oil,and every time you skin a mink or weasel drop the fresh gland into the jar.
In a few weeks you will have rotted gland in the oil and it is very attractive as a call to a baited set.It is very loud,but doesnt last long-you need to apply some every visit.You can mix it as needed with glycerine just before use to keep it from freezing.

I know the wolves on my line love to check out the otter toilets.
I've had great success with a straight herring oil, as well as a seal oil replacement. The most important factor in all this is you MUST be on location.

Wolves followed a trail of leaking av gas from a 45 gallon drum Muskrat411 hauled to town one year. I Went back the next day for another drum and shot 7 wolves on the trail. I know a guy that says mixed gas works good too and doubles as a cover scent for the steel trap. He learned from a well known trapper so maybe I aught to try that this winter.

Wolverine researcher Audry McGowan her husband Patrick Valkenberg did an extensive test on what various scents were most interesting to wolverines a few years ago in the Alaska Range south of Fairbanks. She had a litter of semi-tame wolverines and observed their reactions to a wide variety of common scents and commercial lures.

One scent stood out, head and shoulders, as the most attractive to those young wolverines: Av gas!

I think it was Ryan that made the hole in that drum knocking it out of the gravel. I tried to patch it up with absorbent pads and duct tape. They were expired abandoned drums left up there by mineral or oil and gas exploration. I had project money to remove. I have pictures of a young Ryan loading drums and posing with his seven wolves

I know different odors result in various responses, even from different animals of the same species, or in the case of canines, the same group or "pack".
For years, I "tested" various lures on my dogs, and some reactions were down-right comical.
I will try the above mentioned lure and report my findings. Be interesting to see what shakes out.

I would trust any lure Bob Jameson makes. He's not only one of the best trappers in Pa. but has a ADC business and has been making lures for decades. Definitely my favorite lures. I have seen the curiosity it sparks in furbearers!
