Anyone know why for long time when on cold start, smell not strong but noticable a little smell coolant thru vents or if stand by front pickup ? No sign leaks, all new coolant, new water pump, thermostat, radiator an all new, few months ago, overflow coolant recovery, no sign leak, no coolant from heater core on passenger side, dipstick does not have moisture on it, was thinking with high miles that a seep head gasket, would u have more symptoms or could cause coolant smell on cold start ? Unless exhaust order smell kinda like coolant , but smell like coolant to me a little, had problem exhaust manifold crack cold an smell exhaust but had manifold replace in spring

It's normal for an old wore out truck to do that.
Roll the windows down and the radio up. You won't smell it and you won't be able to hear any rattles either.
Have a good one Dave

If you're still smelling after this long, there could be someone messing with your truck. Maybe a co-worker? Probably what is happening.

I dont notice windows fog up, I try it later after work again , the smell goes away after 2 min or less, no coolant loss, after long time any older vechile well drop a little in recovery tank , normal , the cold makes it contract a little

Do you lock your truck at night when you are all alone at the part time job you hate?
