Can’t go wrong with Zeiss either. My buddy loves them and they have a good clear glass. Swarovski is also really good, but I have no experience with it. Vortex is good also. Pick something that has a good warranty.

Try to find some used Zeiss "Classics" either 8 or 10 power. They don't make them anymore, but they are great, rather compact, and pretty ergonomic bino.

Compacts do not have 42 mm objective lenses.
Compacts are in the 30s and 20s. That is why they are called compacts. ^^^^^
