P.S. if you partner up with a N.J. licensed firearm dealer might buy some really good deals there. (I think in NJ all firearm sales must go through a dealer)

I wonder how many of the guns will be recently stolen? Or how many were Grandpas that are sitting in the closet. Typically, all the guns will be destroyed and no salvage is allowed. Pretty sad.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Where was the NRA while that was going on Kieth? I would of been writing the editor daily and made a lot of noise.

Where was the NRA while that was going on Kieth? I would of been writing the editor daily and made a lot of noise. The incident I remember was probably 10 years ago, but apparently the same shenanigans are still going on. I don't remember the NRA being involved. In Delaware, in September of last year, "The Rhode Island Second Amendment Coalition filed a temporary restraining order in Providence Superior Court to halt the program, claiming that destroying a stolen weapon would violate the rights of its owner. A judge on Friday denied the order." https://www.providencejournal.com/s...cs-tests-on-all-guns-turned-in/42848677/It seems criminal to destroy private property that was stolen, instead of returning it to the owner. To add insult to injury, they even pay more for guns that were previously reported stolen: "In Providence and Central Falls, those who turn in their guns will receive Visa gift cards in amounts of $100 for each rifle or shotgun, $200 for each handgun and $500 for each firearm that has been previously reported stolen." At those prices the guns are junk or stolen. Or some libtard female just wants to "Granpa's Old Guns" out of the house, likely worth some money to collectors, for pennies on the dollar.

I made out good at a gun-buyback once. I had this old Iver-Johnson .32 revolver that was given to me when I was purchasing a nice rifle from a friend. He threw it in to sweeten the deal. It sat in my gun safe for a bit , then I took it to my gunsmith to look it over. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2021/11/full-3135-115064-img_0009.jpg) My gunsmith told me that the timing was off between the barrel and the cylinder. It was unsafe to shoot. I asked about repairing it. He replied that it would cost at least $75 min to repair it and the gun was barely worth that in good working order. It sat in my gun safe for another 10 years or so. Then they had a gun-buyback one town over. I took it there , got $100 cash for it , no questions asked. So I basically got $100 for a paperweight. This was funded by private money by someone of means who thought they were a do-gooder. They ran out of money the first day and the do-gooder donated more. The LEO that handled my gun told me they had gotten 3 more just like it that day. Some more smart people like me cashed in. If you ever notice when they have a gun-buyback the photo-op photo will show some good looking firearms up front and the junk like I turned in is in the back or not even in the photo. I like gun-buybacks. Think about it , if you had a nice firearm like say a Glock pistol , you would sell it to an FFL holder and get a min of $300 for it. If a felon has an illegal gun , they would not sell it as it cost them more than $100 buying a stolen gun out of the trunk of a car on the street. Most guns bought at gun-buybacks are junk like I had.
