For possums it's not very rare.

Catching possums in 2 feet might not be rare but the color of this possum is. [img]https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2021/12/full-51571-117650-20211210_164330.jpg[/i

I set five rat traps on a little section of river along my coyote line and had three rats out of five traps. One in a 1.5 ls blindset at a slide, one in a #1 ls in a pocket set baited with apple slices and one in a 110 conibear blind set

Got these two jips yesterday! #9 & #10 for the season! Cooler temps are sure helping!
The first one was caught in a Sleepy Creek #1.75 close-jaw 4x4, that Strained Chains Trapline Modifications Canadian-jawed for me, at a dirt hole set, using Young’s Bait & Lure Co.'s "Ambush" predator bait, Southern Snares' "Bango Tango" bobcat gland lure, and Winter Wildlife Control's Bobcat Urine. Left paw pad catch...no way she was getting out of that rascal!
The 2nd one was caught in a Duke 550, at a Flat Top Set, using Young’s Bait & Lure Co.'s "Ambush," and Predator Potion's "Predator Bait #1", in addition to Southern Snares' Mink urine. Right paw pad catch once again!

Coyote #11 for the season is on the books and I have reason to celebrate! I've been chasing this guy for 13 months! Caught him in November of 2020 by two back foot toes in a WOLF CREEK #3 dogless. When I arrived he popped out of the trap and jetted out of there! Since then he's be haunting me, stealing bait, scratching off pan covers, etc.
Well, today I finally nabbed 'em! He fell for the old 2-scat set, using red fox & coyote scat, with Winter Wildlife Control's Red Fox & Coyote urine, plus Mark June's "Predator Frenzy" lure. That's a Duke #1.75 offset that he's in. His fur is now successfully on a Sleepy Creek coyote stretcher!
