Hey guys, name is Matt, I am a beginner trapper, but I am in love with it. This was set using caven's predator lure and bait, I didn't do a dirthole but instead a modification. I basically made a "treasure box" out of bark, put sticks on both sides, and put it a little bit into this small hillside. I covered the top with more bark to protect it from the rain. This was a week ago, I wasn't really trying to catch a bobcat, but goodness. This guy is huge for Louisiana, my first bobcat ever, I believe between him and some of the hawks, they have decimated our local fox squirrel population. Anyways, the trap was a bridger 1.65, not really a fan to be honest, outer digit catch, it held, but it is what it is. Here are some awesome pictures,

Remember I had that coon snatch one off me? Lol. I bet that’s been 8 or 10 years.

Too warm can be a problem though. Turtles cause a lot of problems when it’s warm and catches spoil quickly.

An upside is an increase in movement around cold snaps. We’ll get a 5 or so day window of great trapping right before and immediately following cold snaps, which is just right for certain trap lines. Catch em and pull traps
