There was very little offered for sale. The prices were not good, but they were higher than I thought they would be. It's definitely still not worth putting up raccoons or coyotes to me at those prices. It's not even worth carrying a raccoon more than a few feet at some of those prices and I'll pick up a heads down penny.

More coyotes than red fox. Were there many "no sales"?

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Saratoga County Fur auction today had similar sales, someone had 250 rats, most went for $1 or less, some of the nicer got $2-3 and the highest I saw on huge rats was 4.10. A lot no sale rats and fishers. Red yotes were really the only yotes that broke $30, one went for $37

And I threw away both of my red yotes. Grony always says they won't take them anymore. Maybe I need to investigate other avenues.

I was drooling over how beautiful that red was and an older gentleman said it’s not worth a darn 10 minutes later it sold for $37

The raw fur market is NOT the place to sell odd colored coyotes or any odd color fur. Craft/tourist market or taxidermy market is where the money is on those items.

Look around on the internet you will find multiple options

Keith

Well, I've been a that sale ever since it started, and I thought it was one heck of a sale for the current conditions, and prices were a lot higher than expected. According to a comment on the post about the Idaho? sale our coarse, dark scrubby coyotes, (and there were some pretty rough ones went through), averaged about $16.00 less than Idaho's, so I'd call that a big win!

The volume was down some, which means the poorly handled and low-end furs of the specie have a big effect on the overall average. A look at the average by grade is pretty impressive.

We had plenty of help and great buyer support, a big thank you goes out to everyone!

Thanks Ack for doing the fur put up demos, the quality of put up fur has increased greatly over the years. Hopefully some of the guys came over to watch and ask questions after seeing some of the fur that came across the buyers table.

Also, thanks to all the OSTA guys( and gals smile ) that helped put the auction on. Great bunch of trappers !!!

Generally its all dried furs. Green furs usually gets called #3 grade. Green skins almost never sell or when they do for very little.

Thanks. Yeah I had a few watching and asking but this was probably the least amount I have ever had.
Seems like most didn't hang for long. There was a lot of traffic in and out the door.
The kidron sale is looking to be a big one (imo).
