I buy my 100# and smaller propane fills from an Amish hardware. I just filled a 100# tank for $50.00. On Saturday morning, the young man fires up the gas generator that runs the pump, he and his kid brother fill tank after tank from 8:00 am till 4:00 pm, pretty much nonstop. Folks like me collect up all our empties and make a trip of it. We can buy propane much closer to home but not near as cheap. The Hardware, solar powered and has any and all off grid needs. They also have home supplies from pre electricity times. What's very interesting is the tradition while in line, you help load and unload the guy in front of you, then the guy behind you helps load and unload your tanks when it's your turn. Just an unspoken tradition. 100# tanks are quite a lift for 1 man, when filled.
you're only allowed so many sunrises... I aim to see every one of them!

If my math is right gas here is equivalent to $6.92/gallon and propane is $1.45/pound
If my math is right gas here is equivalent to $6.92/gallon and propane is $1.45/pound Propane is sold by the gallon here in the states. A gallon is roughly a little over 4lbs, if your paying $1.45/pound that would be $5.80/gal vs the original posters 2.29/gal sounds cheap to me. Gotcha! Math must not be a strong point up north Lol this is what happens when converting things in your head and not knowing proper conversions lol. I’ll go sit in the corner now!
