Go to the locally owned book store and pay cash. People on trapperman make a big deal out of nothing. The copy of mein kampf that I read was a fairly small book. The phone book trick won't work with mein kampf.

It actually shows quite well what the democrats are up to at the moment. I have told the missus more than once that I thin that every democrat that wants to get up the ladder in that party must have a copy of it at home as required literature. Read it and you will be able to stay a step ahead of the game they are currently playing.

It used to be available for free download on nook, and may still be. It is available everywhere for purchase as well. Regardless of what people say, this is a free country ( for the time being at least) and if you are letting anyone scare you into what you can or cannot read, you are part of the problem.

It gets tedious and a little boring. If you want to learn about something, there is no better place than the original source. I’d read it. If you want to know how hitler came to power, you have to look at the conditions of Weimar Germany.

No country involved in WW2 has had to suffer as much as Germany has. The firebombing of women and children by the "GOOD GUYS" The eventual rape of their women by the invading savage Russian army and the trillions of dollars still being paid to this day for reperations. There are still old old German men being hunted down and put on trial for war crimes. It is time to leave it in the past.

The German army was the most disciplined of any during the war. Anyone accused of rape was shot on the spot. Firebombs were against the Geneva convention. Germany never used them. EVER.

My point as to the Germans accused of war crimes was not that they shouldnt be tried, but rather to draw attention to the hypocrisy of the allies for looking the other way when it comes to themselves.

My maternal grandfather was a member of the 12th SS and taken prisoner of war. I heard plenty of stories from the "other side". Men demonized and forced to wear a scarlett letter for the remainder of their lives for doing nothing more than fighting for their country like millions of others did. He was a devout Catholic and the most kind man you could ever meet.

But alas. History is written by the victors..........

I have respect for ALL soldiers that fought for their country. And sympathy for ANYONE who died as a result.

I'm sorry for your hurt feelings but I can not sympathize with "just following orders". I've spent time in Germany, beautiful country and people, met and spoken with Germans of that generation and I've heard the excuses and apologetics. I ain't buying it. I've also met and heard the unrepentant as well.
German got what they reaped and deserved every bit of what they got.

Now we can argue all day long our sins that may or may not have contributed to the conditions that allowed a mad man to rise to power but ultimately the German people were masters of there own fate. Much like we are today.

No hurt feelings here. Just a huge disdain for stupid people and hypocrisy. But since YOU have VISITED Germany your thoughts are naturally more valid than others and should be treated as fact. Everyone else don't bother sharing your opinion. Warrior here has talked to REAL German people.

Probably not a read for this German

I had a copy of it for many years ..... Would not have done Wolfie any good as my copy was in German. I got it because it was illegal at the time to have one back in Germany and I don't like to be told what i can and can't do. It is an interesting read all the same, no matter where you were born and raised. And it is quite an eye opener if you compare it with what is currently going on. But if you really want to know the scoop of everything about German history and politics. Ask Warrior, he knows

Guys when I can stand on the remains of Dachau and see Munchen on the horizon and know that this camp was in place PRIOR to the invasion of Poland, Czechoslavakia and Austria and the German people had the madman's book and words plus daily seeing the start of the horror and THEY DID NOTHING!

I stand by my statement hoping it will not be said of us.

But as history shows Germany was not alone either before or after. The apparent norm is genocide if history is read openly and honestly.
