Question for the Ohio crowd, anyone know about convention site laws re: 2nd. Amend. We have a reciprocal agreement with Ohio but some local laws may be different, county, state, local property owners. Anyone know the actual event policy? Thanks in advance. Case

you could contact the convention organizer if they have any restrictions or will metal detectors or guards patting people down.

With an Indiana permit you are good to go in Ohio. As far as venue restrictions I have no idea I don't pay attention to that unless they have metal detectors. Then I still carry but Change some things up to get by them.

Don't know if organizer would be knowledgeable of local law or ordinances, here fair grounds are for the most part county property, and each county has it's own local rules. If guards are searching you, well that speaks for itself. No gun zone. There may be an individual on here with first hand info of the particular venue. I'll just set back and see. Thanks guys.

Ya, thanks. I don't do breaking the law. Definitely don't advise others to do so. Particularly where I'm a guest. As I said originally I know we have a reciprocal agreement with Ohio.

Well the convention coordinator kinda needs to know the policies of the fair board and local ordninances as part of the job of being the convention coordinator. Other than the fiasco that was Hamburg, i doubt they'll ever do a convention where guns aren't allowed on the grounds

Law of the land is shall not be infringed. All other are in violation of that. The only reason we have infringements is because people comply and give up those rights willingly. After a while it's the new normal. We have different views about who is breaking the law.

Sniper n K C, thanks.
Prov. Farm. That works for me.
Stroker I've spent more time just taking my gun out of the holster than you have spent shooting in your entire life. But thanks for your kind answer anyway.

I am from Allen county ohio where the convention will be held. I also trap several farms that our sheriff owns. Also my son is a deputy. There will be no problems with the 2nd around here. This part of ohio is very conservative. Let's go brandon is chanted frequently.

Thanks guys. if the organizer isn't knowledgeable about it I can't think anyone would be. not sure about Ohio but in WI you have to post 5x7 inch sign or larger at EVERY entrance , no one can supersede state law and each event contract can state Yes or No the no one can superseded state law is so that we don't end up with every tom dick and harry township making up their own cockamamie laws to abuse citizens who stepped over a town or city boundary plenty of places here you can be in 3 different jurisdictions just walking around a block. our club has rented the fair grounds part of our contract is that we can allow carry in the building we rent even though the signs are posted on every door , they don't cover the signs but most dealers and all of us working security are carrying we aren't stopping anyone who keeps their gun their gun secured out of sight on their person either. it is a gun show there are guns everywhere but it if is going to be seen it has to get checked at the door to make sure it is unloaded if the organizer doesn't know then how would anyone else it is or it is not in the contract there are signs on the door or there are not. I suppose there could be some secretive laws only the people who enforce them know exist but that would just be an abuse of the citizenry , not saying it couldn't happen jus that it shouldn't the event organizer should know or be the best source to find out.
