It is a very collectable trap.. Every thing looks to me like it is correct. The chain is complete, but the 13 link split has been added to the main chain. The larger link in the chain would have been the end of one of the splits. The trap is missing the drag and chain snap but still a good find.... I believe that model was made from around 1911 to 1925... If the bottom line of the spring stamps are readable you can get an idea of when the trap was made within that time frame...

There are a few variations but this should be the correct drag and snap for your patent date 4 1/2. The lap link in your photo was probably a drag point of attachment but I don’t think it was original to the trap, should be an S hook.
Nice find, we all love the 4 1/2’s.

With that spring stamp, your trap was made about 1913-1914. It should have a square rebar drag and a snap. Here is the same trap you have, complete as it came from the factory.
