We Nevah Evah had 4.00 gas here in NH….even when that other Turd was in office. We had it once way back when Bush Jr. was prez. I remember t cost me almost $200.00 to fill the 50 gallon tank on my old Chevy 10-ton dump truck.

In today’s dollars, gas cost an average of $5.20 a gallon in June 2008, and more than $4 as recently as September 2014."

3.50 yesterday and 3.60 today. Trend rising. Sniffy and his house of wayward clowns are doing a grand job bringing the country to its knees. Talk about on its knees. At least out Vice will feel right at home in that position.
Let's go Brandon

"What we know from experience is that oil and gas prices remain cyclical, connected to the global secular business cycle and amplified the relatively lengthy time scale that it takes to bring on incremental oil and gas production capacity and export facilities. As just took place in 2021, periods of strong global economic growth lead to increased oil and gas demand. As the world waits for new investment, oil and gas prices tend to push higher, leaving the global economy more susceptible to price shocks, which geopolitics often delivers. The latter can then plant the seeds for recession, which, in turn, lowers demand and brings prices down again. In addition, high prices drive a shift to alternative fuels. It is a cycle that has repeated itself many times since the mid-1900s, sadly often against the backdrop of wars involving major oil exporting countries."

The cycle goes with idiots putting idiots in to run our country. This "cycle" can be described in history as the green new deal cycle.

HERE IN OHIO, the petroleum reserves are primarily under private lands. For most of 2021 there has been increased activity. This is what is happening RIGHT NOW: Hundreds of high capacity oil and gas producing wells are operating. Many new wells are being drilled. In the area where I am most familiar, 6 new well pads (well site facilities) are being built. Each pad has the capacity to host 8 or more directional wells. Electricity is generated using local natural gas to power a state of the art generating facility.
There are massive petroleum reserves on accessible deep levels. This is only about one area of one state over one reserve. Other areas, states, and oil reserves are massive as well.
WE THE PEOPLE have plenty of petroleum to be energy independent now and for a loooong time. That allows plenty of time for alternative energy sources to be developed using our own people and resources.
So, as I have previously said, “Drill baby, drill!”

Don't bother trying to interject economic facts into this discussion Dirt. They are on a roll and facts be danged! Did we give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? I can't help myself. However these people explain why propaganda works.

Last time it went over 4 bucks a gallon, it was also self inflicted.
Demand rising, inflation rising and we decide to hinder production. Nice.
