I believe they still have a 50 dollar bounty on coyotes.

You have to put in for non-resident Bobcat tags around October 1st. 48 hour check, quality fur ! You have to purchase tags. I believe it is $35 per tag up to 6. Must possess before setting. 3/16 offset on land traps also.

I believe they still have a 50 dollar bounty on coyotes. We still have the $50 bounty here so every idiot is out trying to call dogs making them very call shy. I know that has nothing to do with trapping but just thought I'd throw it out there. I live in Millard county now and we also have a $10 bounty on red fox. The 48 hour rule is for non-kill traps/snares, it is 96 hour check for kill traps and snares. Utah used to be a nice state but not so much anymore IMO, of course you might consider it a great place depending on where you are coming from. Liberals are moving in from Cali by the droves making it harder to get away and really trying to ruin the conservative, live and let live, free rural lifestyle. It won't be long before Spanish is the predominant language.

Oh, they trap there ! I had a student 'average' $800. on some bobcats he sold, some years ago. Beautiful coyotes, regardless of elevation. On higher altitude, you'll run into some lion problems, ( par for the course ) No one mentions muskrats, but many areas do have good numbers. As I recall that same student took over 800, before I even arrived, all on float sets. ( Did I mention : beaver ? )

A former OSTA treasurer lives there, I believe he's a life member here, I'm sure he'd fill you in too, let me know if you want to contact him. He catches several nice cats each season as well as other "different" critters.
