Yeah , curious if anyone agrees with the number given for their state My guess is that is a very low number for Oregon. Without good studies it's all guesswork.

Nebraska doesn't have a breeding resident population? What'd they been smokin? They've had one for some years now. I caught one that got ear tagged with # 38 in the research ranks a few years back.

Yeah , curious if anyone agrees with the number given for their state My guess is that is a very low number for Oregon. Without good studies it's all guesswork. ODF&W has no clue how many exists or are harvested. Just how many get brought in to be tagged. Numbers are only an uneducated guess. Called and regulated as a big game animal. That's only because they need a big game animal that is said to be doing well. The rest are not doing well, mainly because the lions are mostly protected from efficient ways of control.IMO

The author of the article is listed as AZ Animals Staff . So whoever wrote it doesn't want their name on it.

I caught one that got ear tagged with # 38 in the research ranks a few years back. I thought about you when I read the article and came to Nebraska. They have a season in January. 2022 says it’s closed and 1 female and 3 males were harvested.

We can take 8 in zone one and unlimited in zone two, which is not really Mt Lion habitat. They do kill lions here every year and since we have a season, I would say that makes it a conformed siting. This is why I put little faith in what most people write up.
