Talked to a guy this morning who sold his aluminum cans and got .75 a pound. Anybody heard similar stories about the price of metal? I wonder why the price has jumped so much? Does this have an affect on other metals like copper, brass, etc?

I know there are some of you on here that sell metal. You might want to check the price of scrap in your area.

I've been hearing that for cans too.
Been a couple weeks but heard around 250 for scrap steel. In my area, prepared scrap steel is at $220 a ton. Regular $200 scrap steel a ton.

Non-ferrous types are generally great! I don't deal a lot in steel but others have said that is way up as well. All the copper around here, excepted some sort of mixed stuff, is over $3 a pound. I got 80 cents a pound for aluminum cans a couple weeks back.
